     On Friday, June 22, 2018 at approximately 4:14 A.M. the Jasper County Sheriff’s conducting extra patrols in the area of Interstate 65 and State Road 10 truck stops, observed two male subjects entering into a semi trailer. Due to recent theft activity, Officers approached the two men who ran on foot to a silver in color Dodge minivan that exited the area at a high rate of speed.

     Jasper County Deputies pursued the van with emergency lights and sirens northbound on Interstate 65. Multiple items of contraband (stolen items) were being thrown from the passenger side of the vehicle as it swerved back and forth from lane to lane during the pursuit. The van pulled over at the 239 mile marker.

     Kenneth Anthony Jackson age 38 of Chicago, Edward Frank Gee age 42 of Chicago and a 15 year old juvenile male were all taken into custody.

     Video surveillance along with Deputies witnessing the individuals being involved in breaking and entering five semi trailer’s where general merchandise was taken and or trailer seals were broken resulted in the following criminal charges:

 

     Edward G. Gee Resisting Law Enforcement level 6 Felony; Neglect of a dependent level 6 Felony; Theft Class A Misdemeanor; Contributing to the delinquency of a minor Class A Misdemeanor; Reckless driving Class C Misdemeanor; Unlawful entry of a motor vehicle Class B Misdemeanor; Criminal recklessness Class B Misdemeanor and Criminal Mischief Class B Misdemeanor.

 

     Kenneth A. Jackson Theft Class A Misdemeanor; Contributing to the delinquency of a minor Class A Misdemeanor; Unlawful entry of motor vehicle Class B Misdemeanor; Criminal recklessness Class B Misdemeanor and Criminal Mischief Class B Misdemeanor.

 

ALL SUSPECTS ARE CONSIDERED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
