On Monday, February 6, 2017 at approximately 2:36 A.M. Jasper County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a possible heroin overdose on County Road 50 West just south of the Wheatfield town limits.  Upon arrival of sheriffs’ deputies and Wheatfield Medics, a subject identified as Ryan W. Lovely, age 27 of Wheatfield, Indiana was found unconscious and exhibited signs of cyanosis. 

 

Medics began treatment for overdose of narcotics on Lovely while deputies observed several syringes and drug paraphernalia near Lovely’s location along with a strong chemical odor which deputies recognized as being consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamine.

 

Also found at the residence was Stepheni L. Zimmer, age 38 of Wheatfield, Indiana, Brandon V. Miller, age 18 of Charlestown, Indiana, and a seventeen year old male juvenile.  Due to the hazardous material danger, all subjects were removed from the residence and Jasper County Sheriff’s Narcotics investigator was requested at the scene.  Upon securing the residence and the subjects located inside, narcotics investigators applied for and received a search warrant. 

 

Search of the residence revealed several chemicals used in the manufacture of methamphetamine along with (HCL) hydrochloric gas generator and a small amount of finished methamphetamine product.  The residence also had multiple locations of drug paraphernalia, including two one pot meth labs and two HCL generators.  All hazardous material was removed by the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab team.

 

The residence was identified as belonging to Stepheni Zimmer who was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine a Level 5 Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine a Level 6 Felony and Maintaining a Common Nuisance a Level 6 Felony.

Ryan W. Lovely once cleared medically at Franciscan Hospital was arrested on Manufacturing Methamphetamine Level 5 Felony and Possession of Methamphetamine Level 6 Felony.

Brandon V. Miller was charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance a Class A Misdemeanor.  The seventeen year old male juvenile was released to Child Protective Services.  All parties had to be decontaminated and clothing removed prior to release or incarceration.  The investigation continues by Jasper County Sheriff’s Narcotics Deputies.

 

ALL SUSPECTS ARE CONSIDERED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN A COURT OF LAW.
